Sanjoy Bhattacharya, MD, is a cardiac electrophysiologist at the Heart One Associates offices in Phoenix, Peoria, and Buckeye, Arizona. Dr. Bhattacharya has been practicing cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology in the Phoenix area since 2011. He performs advanced ablation for complex rhythm disturbances and specializes in pacemaker and defibrillator implantation.

Dr. Bhattacharya completed his Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina. He pursued his master’s degree in engineering at the University of Vermont, where he worked closely with the Department of Molecular Biology and Biophysics to pursue research interests in muscle physiology. He then attended Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, New Hampshire, for his Doctor of Medicine and completed training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern at Dallas. Dr. Bhattacharya rounded out his training with a fellowship in both cardiovascular diseases and cardiac electrophysiology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.

When he is not working, Dr. Bhattacharya enjoys playing racquetball and squash. He has remained a loyal Duke Blue Devil and tries to keep up with Duke basketball. He enjoys doing math and English homework with his three daughters. He balances his busy workday by spending quality time with his beautiful wife and three amazing children.
