Rajeev Garg, MD, is an interventional cardiologist with Heart One Associates in Phoenix, Peoria, and Buckeye, Arizona, who specializes in advanced heart failure, complex coronary procedures, specifically radial artery catheterization and structural heart disease.
He is board-certified in interventional cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiovascular disease. He attended Dr. Sampurnanand Medical College in India for his Doctor of Medicine and then completed training in internal medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. Dr. Garg furthered his training with a fellowship in cardiovascular diseases at the University of Missouri-Columbia, followed by an additional fellowship in interventional cardiology at Lahey Clinic in Boston, Massachusetts.
Dr. Garg currently serves as the chairman of cardiology at Abrazo west campus & former chair of cardiology at Banner Estrella Medical Center (BEMC). He also currently serves as the Medical Director of Heart One Associates. While he remains focused on providing compassionate, patient-centered care in the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan Area, he regularly trains new physicians as an Assistant Professor of Medicine at both Midwestern University and the University of Arizona.
Throughout his career, Dr. Garg has published dozens of peer-reviewed articles and recently served as the co-investigator for Banner’s CardioMEMS pilot project. He has also been recognized by Phoenix Magazine as a Top Doc for three years in a row: 2019, 2020 & 2021.
In addition to his professional endeavors, Dr. Garg enjoys playing racquetball and spending time with his beloved wife and son.
